My Plumage project has been awarded the Net Art Award at the Art of the Animal symposium in Queensland, Australia. It sure sounds like an interesting event, exploring "the nature of art, humans and inter-species creativity". Biologist, artists and creative consultants gathered last week at Sea World to talk about animal creavity, the emergence of human creativity, and other topics much more interesting than most. How come I never get invited to conferences at Sea World?
The Net Art exhibition has some cool work, with a lo-fi video game interface to explore the entries. There are some interesting projects in there - go and have a look. The exhibit was curated by Jason Nelson.
