This clever project by Dutch artists Erwin Driessens and Maria Verstappen creates evolved sculptural forms in Plywood, Nylon, and Stainless steel, using evolutionary computing techniques and 3D printing technology. The entire production process is automated, from design to execution. The artists have a lot of other interesting projects, including an ‘image-breeding machine‘ and a tickling robot or two.
